Supportive housing may be best known for helping to reduce chronic homelessness but supportive housing’s effect on health is often overlooked. CBPP’s recent supportive housing paper shows that providing intensive services and affordable housing for people with complex health needs who lack stable housing can positively affect health outcomes, costs, and access. This webinar will present findings and answer questions about the research on how supportive housing affects health, how to increase housing resources for supportive housing, and how Medicaid can help finance supportive housing services.
Moderator: Judy Solomon, Vice President for Health Policy
Presenters: Hannah Katch, Senior Health Policy Analyst; Peggy Bailey, Director of the Health Integration Project; Ehren Dohler, Coordinator, Housing Special Projects
