Once developers and/or owners have received LIHTC awards, they typically conduct a competitive process to select a syndicator or investor with whom to work. This training will look at how to solicit proposals; compare proposals in order to get the best deal for your project; consider pricing, reserve and guarantee requirements, buyout provisions and other factors; and negotiate on the points that are most important to your project. Training will consist of a discussion about these topics, a panel discussion with Connecticut professionals working on tax credit properties, a question and answer session, and a discussion of some example projects.
