This is for experienced advocates who are interested in knowing more details about the state budget process, the legislative process, committees and the duties of the House and Senate. You would play a lead role in KTP advocacy at the LOB or locally. Taking the “Essentials” class in November and practicing advocacy, is a prerequisite to the Leadership class. The training is facilitated by Attorney Jan Van Tassel, former KTP co-chair and Doreen DelBianco, Legislative Manager for DMHAS.
The cost of the training is $35 for KTP members and $40 for non-members. Scholarships are available. Call/email Maura Sheil-Hughes for more information and registration forms at 1-800-215-3021 or 860-882- 0236, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
