On Wednesday, June 3, the Community Action Partnership, the Office of Community Services, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development will be joined by local Community Action Agencies and the National Alliance to End Homelessness to discuss the opportunity expressed in Information Memorandum 135 to utilize CSBG funds as a match for the McKinney-Vent Homeless Assistance Program.
GOAL: To amplify the message in Information Memorandum 135 issued in June 2014 that encourages partnerships through the use of CSBG funds as a match for the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Programs.
AUDIENCE: State CSBG agencies, CSBG state associations, and local CAAs
CONTENT: The webinar will include the following:
1. Joint Opening Message from OCS and HUD
2. Overview of the McKinney-Vento program and how effective partnerships can be made with CSBG partners by the National Alliance to End Homelessness
3. Testimonials of family homelessness efforts on the local level from CAAs.
